MANAWATU AUTUMN MEETING. SECOND DAY. Per Press Association Palmerston N., April 8. The following results were received after we’ went to press yesterday :
Papatoae Hnrdles, 1% miles: Gold Dust 1, Claremont 2, Immolation 3. Also ran: Killarney, 'Prospector, Oryx. Won fairly easily by two lengths. Time, Smin 15 2-ssec. Dominion Onp, 9 furlongs : Tangimoana |l, Bonrrasque 2, The Lark 3. Also ; ran; Arcligbt, [Chatterer, Moscow, Flamen, The Dane. A splendid race. Won hy a length, neck between second and third. Time, Imin 55 l-ssec.
Maiden Hack Scurry, 5 furlongs : Miss Advance 1, Whetumarama 2, Motukawa 3. Also ran: Knutsford, Waimaria. Won very easily. Time, Imin 4sec.
Juvenile Handicap, 5 furlongs: Mon Ami 1, Tuataki 2, Vasa 3. Also ran: Sister Anne, San Fernando, Mulga Bill. Won by a length, a neck between second and third. Time, Imin 3sec. Farewell Welter, one mile : Silver Lead 1, Truganini 2, Prism 3. Also ran: Moscow, Carissima, Chicane, Toa Tuhi. A good race. Won by a length. Time, Imin 43 4-sseo. HORSES SOLD. Wellington, April 8. The hurdle horses Ataahua and Maui have been sold by Mr Prosser to Mr D. J. Price. The former will not fulfil his Auckland engagements, and both will be shipped to Australia shortly.
