BRITISH STEAMER ATTACKED.
Press Association,—Copyright. London, April 7. Insurgent Arabs, on the banks of the Tigris, subjected the British steamer Blosselynch, to a heavy rifle fire. A Turkish patrol on a steamer accompanying the Blosselynch| returned the insurgents’ fire. Two of the Blosselynch’s passengers were killed and several were wounded.
In response to Britain’s emphatic demands for redress, the Porte promises to punish the aggressors.
