FOOTBALL.
SANDON CLUB. A meeting of the above club was held in the Council Chambers on Saturday night, Mr J. McDonell being in the chair. The number of playing members for the coming season was reckoned at 33. The election of officers resulted J. A. Bailey, president; Messrs P. Penny, J. Bo'water, Dr. Watson, T. Cameron, W. J. Phillips, J. H. Perrett, R. Perrett, A. Anderson, J. Preckiiugton, D. J. Mason, P. O. Bailey, A. K. ‘Drew, W. Richardson, J. McDonell, P. Hammond, W. J. Oroucber, and E. W. Morse, vice-presidents; Mr H. D. Robinson, secretary and treasurer; Mr M. Carroll, captain; H. D. Thompson, vice-captain; Messrs J. Richardson, H. Carroll, and the secretary, management committee ; the captain, vice-captain, and J. Richardson, selection committee, and J. McDonell, representative to the Union.
The subscription was fixed at Bs. The secretary was instructed to try and arrange a match with Feilding for Saturday, April 18th. Mr A. Davis was unanimously elected a life member.
