A BARQUE ON FIRE.
Press Association. —Copyright. Sydney, April 5.
The barque Dunloe, which arrived from Lyttelton six weeks ago, took fire at two this morning.
The vessel being dismantled only the caretaker was on board. A riding lamp fell from the forestay and set fire to a quantity of loose timber.
The fire did a good deal of damage before it was extinguished. The caretaker narrowly escaped death, being rescued from his bunk in the nick of time by sailors from a neighbouring ship.
