Received April 2. 12.30 p.m. Sydney, April 3 Information has been received that ' arrangements are concluded for Mr Oharleslßarrie (-son of the Dundee owners of the Den Line of steamships) and the Indra Line (of Liverpool), to take Alley and Company’ contract with the Canadian and New -Zealand Government: jointly and condncc'a regular line of steamers, the service to be two monthly at present the vessels leaving Sydney and Vancouver simultaneously calling at Auckland, Wellington, or other ports as inducements offer. It is hoped before long that the trade justify monthly steamers.
