BLACKBALL STRIKE.

Dunedin, March 31
The Chemical Manure Workers’ Union passed the following resolution to-night:—“That this Union sympathises with the men on strike at Blackball, at the same time regretting that they acted in opposition to the law.
Westport, March 31. The Westport Labour Union decided to-night to vote £2O to the women and children at Blackball, and struck a levy of 6d per week per member, which will realise a further £2B 10s per month during the trouble.
Auckland, April 1
Hickey, representing the Blackball miners on strike, expressed himself highly satisfied with the results of his visit to Wellington, a large sum of money having been promised. He stated that the miners would continue on strike until the management yielded to cheir demands or they were starved out.
