Mr Moor, Premier of Natal, speaking at Winton, complained that certain members of the British House of Commons were putting questions and„,otherwise seeking to discredit Natal’s constitution. Natal had acted within its chartered ’rights, and. was bearing the white 'man’s burden, which had not been made lighter by their damnable interference. He hoped that better counsels would prevail, and that Natal would be given an opportunity of proving the justice of her position.

THE PROBLEM-OF UNION. Received March 24, 9.5 a.m. Durban, March 23. Mr Moor, in a speech at Durban, urged the South African Commission to study the problems of the federation or unification of South Africa.
