APITI NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent/) Anniversary'services in connection with the Metliodiet Sunday School were held on Sunday last, and conducted by Rev. Clover, of Halcombe. The choir, under the baton of Mr N. Gill, rendered appropriate anthems. The annual tea meeting on Tuesday, followed by an entertainment, and distribution of prizes, was well attended. Eulogistic references were made, to the work done by, the superintendent and teachers, during tho past year. Mr In. Gill was unanimously re-elected superintendent for the” ensuing term. The report shows a total of 55 pupils on the roll, and that the financial position is sound.

Our footpaths are nearing completion. They have made a wonderful improvement in the appearance of the township, and the pride taken by the County Engineer in his work is’quite pardonable. His countenance beams with pleasure whenever he honors ns with a visit.

Miss Drew, who was recently appointed by the Feilding Technical School Committee to give instruction in drawing and painting, will commence duties here on Tuesday. Over 15 pupils have already joined this class, and the interest taken in the dressmaking class shows no sign of abating. Several cases of scarlet fever in a mild form have been reported from Table Flat.
