BULLS TOWN BOARD.

A meeting of above was held last evening. Present. —Messrs J. E. Walker (Chairman), Levett, Mansell and Stevenson.

Tite absence of Mr King was apologised for. ' CORRESPONDENCE.

From R. Wilson, Esq., enclosing donation of £lO to the Bulls Domain, from the Bulls Operatic Society. From R. Wilson, Esq., offering the Board the loan of piano in Town Hall, on condition ot insuring and having same tuned twice a year.— Resolved that the offer he accepted, and that a letter of thanks be sent to Mr Wilson, the SecretaryThe clerk brought forward a matter of complaint of a ratepayer, who had at the last moment forwarded a cheque for £5, . without s the ten per cent surcharge. He had returned the cheque, with an explanation.—This had been made the subject of complaint.—The ratepayer in question was always about the last to pay but he had eventually paid the surcharge. He reported that this having been paid, the whole of theiates had been collected. The action of the clerk was confirmed.

Electoral Department forwarded plans of new electoral boundaries. From Treasury, forwarding £IOO and £2OO to the credit of the Bulls Town Beard. As these amounts did not shew in the Bank book, the Chairman and Treasurer were appointed to see the amounts placed to the credit of the Board. An account of £3 9s 6d, share of expenditure on Bulls bridge, was passed for payment. It was resolved that the Chairman and Mr Mansell be a sub-committee to draw up regulations and frame charges, for the use of the Town Hall. —And that the unpaid fee for its use for a “Leap Year Ball” be at once sued for. The Board approved of plans laid before it of land to be taken for a new road to the cemetery, and of a District road to he closed, and the Chairman was authorised to sign the plans. Mr Mansell gave notice of motion. —That an application be made to the Manawatu County Council for the extending of the Tramway to Bulls. Messrs King and Fletcher were appointed to act as Wmks Committee. Sundry accounts were passed for payment. DOMAIN BOARD. The Chairman reported the receipt of £lO from the Bulls Operatic Society, and that the gorse was nearly all cleared off the Domain. An application from Miss A. McEwen, Hon. Secretary Bulls Tennis Club, for a portion of the Domain ground, for a tennis court, was granted. Site to he approved by the Domain Board Executive Committee. Two small accounts were passed for payment.
