Railway communication is stiil interrupted owing to washaways. The ' damage to property and losses of stock are very severe. The rescue work provided some thrilling experiences. At Weewa the water was still rising yesterday and residents were taking refuge in buildings on the high grounds. Business is completely suspended. The railway line is under water£for miles. Parties are out rescuing§isolatecl families. The bodies of two men are reported to have been found floating in the river. At Tamworth a family took refuge on a haystack where they spent two days.
