Amusements and Meetings. jpUBLIO NOTICE. A MEETING will be held oq WEDNESDAY, March 18th, at 8 p.m., at the r ffices of Brice, Broad & Co., for the purpose of forming an Investment Society for the encouragement of thrift. The Society will be incorporated under the Budding Societies Acts, and will receive payments from members by monthly instalments. The funds will be invested on mortgage, and it is proposed that investing members shall have a preferential claim on the funds. The Rangitikei Permanent Building and Investment Society is a local example of the success that may be attained by such an institution, and it is felt that there is scope for another Society, which will afford to the general public facilities for taking advantage of the privileges accorded by the Building Societies Acts.
