The prospects of a settlement are brightening.
A mass meeting of 3000 wharf labourers decided to resumo work at midnight on Sunday on the interstate and oversea vessels, but to maintain tho strike over the vessels of tho Illawarra, Newcastle and the North Coast Companies. It was announced that tho Seamen’s and Carters’ Unions would support the strike against the three lines named, and that notice had been their strike. THE MIOWERA DELAYED. Press Association, Wellington, Miaroh'ls. Owing to the wharf labourers’ strike in Sydney the Miowera will not leave Sydney for Wellington before Monday. The steamer accordingly will he due on Fridav.
