Press Association. —Copyright. Loudon, March 13. The wheat markets 'are lifeless. Bayers have withdrawn, owing to the unexpected increase of the quantity on passage. There is a general decline of about 9d. Australian, is now offering at Bis 6d to 375; Febru-ary-March steam shipments at 37s 9d; steamer parcels afloat at 365; Australian on the spot, dull at 38s ; New Zealand, nominal, 31s to 355; long berry, 35s Fleur —The demand lias - stopped. The March shipment is offering in Glasgow at,2Bs 3d, lauded. Butter sold steadily at late rates till Thursday, when there was a reduction in Danish.by 5 kroner (os 4d) causing a sharp decline. Choicest Australian sold at 114 s, unsalted 116 s ; New Zealand 116 s to 118 s; Danish 120 s. Many Victorian and New South Wales brands were affected hy heat at the time of manufacture. STOCK REPORT. Messrs Dalgety & Co., Ltd., report on their Feilding sale of the 13th iust., as below: —We had an exceptionally heavy yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle. There was a good demand for all good conditioned and young sheep. Aged ewes and low conditioned sheep were neglected. The bulk of entry was cleared at the following prices Good 3-tooth Romney ewes 14s sd, 14s 9d to 15s Id, small 2-tooth ewes 9s 9d, aged and inferior ewes 2s 7d. 3s Id and 5s 7d to 6s 3d, good 4 and 5-vear ewes 9s to 10s 6d, 2-tooth wethers 10s 6d, small lambs 2s 7d to 3s Id. At our Wanganui sheep fair on the 11th iust. we yarded between 6000 and 7000 sheep and 100 head of cattle. Buyers were in attendance and a brisk"sale resulted, the bulk of the entry being cleared under the hammer at improved prices. A line of 2-tooth ewes made 16s sd. Quotations; —Fat ewes 10s 6d to 11s 6d, fat lambs 11s 4d, 2-tooth Romney Lincoln ewes 16s od, small 2-tooth Romney ewes J3s 9d, 4-tonth Lincoln ewes 14s 9d, 4 and 5-vear ewes Ss, 9s, 9s 3d, 9s 5d to 10s, cull lambs as* 2d, medium 3s and 4-tooth wethers 12s Bd, small ,3 and 4-tooth wethers 10s, 2-tooth Lincoln rams 3gs. Cattle: Yearling steers 81s, good mixed weaners 29s 6d, old cows 14s. Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd., report:—We had a heavy yarding of sheep at Feilding on Friday. For vonng good conditioned ewes prices were in advance of last week’s rates-; inferior ewes showed a decided decline. There was a large attendance and we have to report a most successful sale. Quotations: Sheep: 2-tooth wethers 10s 6d, 11s Id to 11s 6d, 3-tooth ewes 11s 7d, JISs 7d to 14s 6d, s.m. ewes 8s 7d, 8s 9d to 11s 7d, cull ewes 3s 5d to 4s Id, fat ewes 11s 7d to 13s 3d, good rape lambs 9s, store lambs 4s, 4s 6d, ss, os 6d to 6s 6d, cull lambs 2s 2d to 2s 9d. Cattle: Bulls £3 10s, cows with calves £1 Is to £3, empty fheifers £3 9s, empty cows £1 Is to £3 15s, forward cows £3 10s. Messrs Gorton & Sons reportAt Feilding on Friday we had a very heavy yarding of sheep, and a full entry of cattle. Sheep sold well, though bidding was _ somewhat dragging for low conditioned sorts. We'made a total “'clearance of all but a couple of pens of sheep and a few rams. Fir V 7. G. Pearce s 2-tooth ewes realised 235, Mr Short’s 5-year Romney ewes 14s Id to 14s jd, F. Robinson’s Romney S ewes 15s 2d. Other prices: Two-tooth wethers good Is, 2-tooth Romneys 17s 9d, 2- Lincoln ewes 16s 7d, good 3- ewes Is to 15s 7d, cull 2tooth ewes 10s Id, 2 and 4-tooth ewes 16s, 4 to f. m. good ewes 9s lid to 12s Bd, low conditioned f.m. ewes 5s Id, 5s 7d. os 9d, 6s sd, 6s 6d, 7s 7d 7s 9d 8s 6d, 4 and 5-year Lincoln ewes 10s 7d and 10s lid, crocks 2s 6d to 4s Id, 4 to f.m. Romney ewes 12s, mixed lambs 6s lid to 7s 3d, Romney ewe lambs 13s, Romney ram lambs 18s 6d, Lincoln ram lambs 10s, 3 to steers £2 19s 6d, to 3-year steers £3 10s 6d and £3 11s, 18-month to 2-year steers £3 5s 2-year heifers 265, calves 4s 6d and Bs, forward cows £3, fat cows £4 9s, store cows 15s to ss, hulls £3 12s Gd to £4, weaner steers 15s.
