WEDDINGS.

COLE—FOSTER

The marriage of Mr Frederick William Cole, second sou of the late Abraham Cole, Busselfcon, Western Autsralia, to Ami Gertrude, youugest daughter of tire late Alfred Foster, Morwell, Gippslaud, Victoria, took place at the Presbyterian Church, Martou, ou Thursday, sth March, the Rev. D. Gordon being the officiating minister. The bride, who was given away by her stepbrother, Mr George Johnston, of Huuterville, wore a white silk dress with lace and insertion trimmings, and carried an exquisite shower bouquet. She was attended by three bridesmaids—Miss Alice Coleman, who wore a white silk dress and carried a choice shower bouquet; Miss Victoria Johnston (niece of the bride), weaving, a cream silk dross and red sash, and Miss Gladys Rivers in a white muslin frock with blue sash and both carried baskets of flowers. Mr David Foster, brother of the bride, was best man, and Mr Robert Coleman acted as groomsman. The guests were afterwards entertained at the residence of Mr B. Rivers. The honeymoon was spent at Napier. The bride’s travelling dress was navy blue taffeta. The numerous wedding gifts received testified to the popularity of the newly-married couple.

MANSELL—DIVER

A large number of friends and well-wishers assembled at St. Andrew’s Church, Bulls, on Wednesday morning, 11th March, to witness the wedding of Mr J. J. Mansell to Miss M. Diver. The Rev. A. Innes-Jones officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr A, Wallace. Auckland, was dressed in cream crepe-de-soi, made in Empire style with fichu trimmed with real val. lace, and silk cords and tassels. The trained skirt was trimmed with silk guipure trimmings and true lovers knots of silk. She wore a lovely embroidered tulle veil and orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet, gift of the bride groom. The bride was attended by three bridesmaids—Miss J. Diver, sister of the bride, who was dressed in pale pink silk, trimmed with cream insertion over pale blue silk ; Miss Mansell, dressed in pale blue silk, trimmed with cream insertion over pale pink silk, the former wearing a large white hat trimmed with satin ribbon and white ostrich tip, and the latter tulle|hat with long shaded blue feathers. Miss Annie Mansell was dressed in white tucked silk, trimmed with val. lace and wore white 'bows of ribbon in her hair, and all carried ivory silver mounted prayer books with white ribbon streamers, the gifts of the bridegroom.s Mr Jack Warriner capably carried put the duties of best man. Miss Blanche Clarke presided at the organ. After the ceremony the immediate relatives of the newly-wedded pair adjourned to the residence of the bridergoom’s parents and partook of wedding breakfast where the usual toasts were duly honoured. The wedding cake,' a handsome fourdecker, the work of Mr G. A. Langdou, was much admired. The bride and bridegroom left by the mail train tor Palmerston en route for Napier, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling dress was a brown faced cloth tailormade costume, brown velvet and glace silk hat trimmed with brown wing, and wore a set of lovely furs, the gift of the bridegroom. The weddiug '■ presents were numerous and included several cheques.
