The following By-Law made by the above Council and ordered to coma into force on the Ist day of April, 1908, is published in accordanca with the provisions of “ The Counties Act, 1886 ” : - HAROLD H. The Council of the County of Rangitikei hereby by Special Order makes the following By-Law under and by virtue of “ The Counties Act, 1886,” the various Acts amending the same, and all other Acts and powers whatsoever it hereunto enabling this By-L&w to come into force on the Ist day of April, 1908. (1) This By-Law may be cited and referred to as “ The Rangitikei County By-Law No. 3a,” and shall apply to the whole of the County of Rangitikei, and shall be read with and form part of the Rmgitikei County By-Law No. 8,1902. (2) Sub-section A of Section 8 of tbe said Rangitikei County By-Law No, 3, 1902, made by the Rangitikei County Council on the 20th day of December, 1902, is hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof the following Subsection is hereby enacted: (a) A yearly license fee shall be paid to the Rangitikei County Council for and in respect of every vehicle (not licensed under Section 4of the ' said By-Law No. 8) of whatever description that shall be plied for ] hire for the carriage of either pas- I sengers or goods of any kind on or along any road within the. County of Rangitikei. In cases where the vehicle is plied for hire for the carriage of passengers only, the yearly license fee shall be .£1 for each such vehicle, and in all other cases the yearly license fee shall be £2 foe each such vehicle. All such fees shall be paid to the County Clerk, This By-Law was duly made by the Council of the County of Eangitikei by Special Order duly passed and made on tbe 25th day of January, 1908, and duly confirmed on tbe 7th day of March, 1908, and was • by the same Special Order ordered to . come into force on the Ist day of April, 1908.
