In the course of a reply to an address of welcome to visiting delegates of the W.0.T.U., Mrs Cole, New Zealand president, expressed her confident opinion that there would be women legislators in the near future, many of whom would he more capable than the men at present in office. She mentioned especially infant life protection legislation. and said, “If they will not allow us to help them we must do what we can outside Parliament.”
