In the House of Assembly, Mr McGowan moved an amendment to the Address-in-Reply, censuring the Government for its action in connection with the recent Harbour Trust appointments. These appointments included the transference of Mr Keele from the presidency of the Water and Sewerage Board to the Harbour Trust.
The motion really aimed at this appointment, which caused a lot of political feeling and wrangling.
The Hon. Mr Wade, in replying, vigorously defended the Government’s action.
