At the Wanganui Metropolitan meeting the action of the Rangitikei R.O. at their meeting on New Year’s Day, whereby G. Price was fined £lO, and received a severe caution for his riding of Flotilla as affecting the prospects of Probability and The Stake, was reviewed. The Metropolitan Committee decided to allow the decision of the Rangitikei R.O. to remain as given, and no further action was taken. At the meeting of the committee and stewards of the Wellington Pony and Galloway Racing Club held last night, J. M’Laughlin, the owner of Moretta, appealed against his recent disqualification; after hearing additional evidence it was resolved that —“The ban of disqualification on J. M’Laughlin and Miretta be removed' forthwith, the stewards being of opinion that he (the owner) was no party to the proceedings, but that the disqualification of three months on the jockey, P. Kingan, be altered into a sentence of disqualification for life. ”
