APITI.

From Our Own Correspondent. A meeting of those interested in Technical Education, was called on Saturday night, when the secretary gave a brief report of the work done during the past year. Great indignation was expressed by all present concerning a statement made' at Feilding, that the Apiti classes were £7 in arrears. From information since supplied by Mr Amos and Miss Gilbertson, the assertion is flatly contradicted, as not a penny was outstanding when it was made. Miss Franklin, of Hawkesßay, has been appointed assistant school teacher. If the Chief Inspector gives a favourable report, a district high school, will shortly be opened here.
