The Sportsman says that in the Lincashire match the New Zealanders, though at times showing good football, were outstayed and ontgeueralled by the clever and active Lancastrians. The Colonials were without the services of Wright, Tyler*, and Rowe, while they played a man short ‘in the second half owing to Wyuyard having been injured. In the second spell the visitors “ made strenuous efforts but failed to break the Lancashire line, though Messenger managed to place a couple ot penalty goals.
