FAILURE OP JAPANESE FIRMS. Press Association —Copyright. Received Feb. 25, 8.4 aa. in. Tokio, February 24. A serious financial panic prevails in Japan. Twelve Japanese firms, chiefly dealing in metals at Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe, have failed with liabilities amounting to £OOO,OOO. Three small Tokio hanks have suspended payment and runs are proceeding on others.
