A VIENNA SENSATION.

" The ¥enfieß Wiener Tagblatt publishes details of a scandal in diplomatic! circles which is probably without precedent. J A few days ago all the Ambassa* dors and the members of the diplomatic body accredited to Vienna received each an anonymous letter conveying the grossest aspersions on the fair fame of a lady,;the wife of a diplomatist resident in Vienna. The lady in question is well known as of blameless life, being devoted to her husband and family. The accusations became the subject of much discussion in Oourt and diplomatic circles, which are much incensed at the character of the libels. The husband, whose indignation may well be imagined, left no stone unturned to discover the writer of the infamous insinuations, All the letters wore subjected to a severe scrutiny, and owing to certain peculiarities of the handwriting their authorship was traced to member of the diplomatic body. It appears that the writer; attempted to strike at the husband through the wife, and force him to leave his post. His clumsy method of attack has failed, and ;the calumniator has left the city hastily. His Government has been communicated with, and letters for his recall are now on their way to Vienna, which has probably seen him for the last time.
