A NARROW ESCAPE.

Tress Association. Inglewood, February 20. “ A marvellous escape from death took place this morning'at the railway crossing m the centre of the town. A milk cart was being driven across the§line when a train caught the trap at the wheel. The driver was knocked out and the horse and trap carried half a chain and the horse deposited in the, cattle stop. The engine driver applied the emergency brake and brought the train to a standstill. The horse was secured while the whole train passed along and was then able to walk home. The driver was uninjured.
