SHEARERS AND FARMERS.

The conference of delegates of the Marlborough and Canterbury Shearers’ Unions, which sat for some time at Timaru, and went at length into the consideration of the various shearers’ agreements throughout the Dominion, decided that the Marlborough, Canterbury, and Wellington Unions should unite to form a New Zealand Shearers’ Union. These bodies covered practically the whole of the shearing districts of Now Zealand. It will ibe some mouths before effect can be given to resolutions and in the meantime the work of comparison, organisation and enrolment will be gone on with. The movement is one of great importance to sheep owners and snearers. Manawatu Times special.
