The committee which is arranging for the reception of Admiral Evans and the officers and sailors of the United States fleet at Los Angelos, accepted the oflhr of the local Japanese to participate. It considered that the offer was extraordinary, magnanimous, and praiseworthy in view of the common report about the relations of the two countries.
