Messrs Abraham & Williams, report on their Palmerston stock sale held on Thursday There was a large attendance, and. good entries of all classes of stock. Fair competition was met with for most •lines, and very few lots remained unsold at the end of the day. Quotations: —Two-tooth wethers lls lid to 12s 7d, 2-tooth ewes 12s lid to 13s lOd, f.m. ewes 7s Id to Bs, forward ewes 9s 7d, fat ewes lls 8d to lls lid, lambs 6s lOd to 7s, cull lambs 4s 2d to 4s Bd, fat cows to £4 12s,' forward cows £2 5s to £2 15s, 3-year empty heifers 37s 6d, 18months empty heifers 28s Pd to 30s •fid, heifers in calf £2 12s 4 6d, lomontlis heifers 21s fid, store cows :23s to 355, cows and calves 81s, weaners 4s 6d, 2-year steers £2 18s 'fid, 18-month steers 375, purebred 'Shorthorn cows in calf £4 10s, bulls 35s to £2 10s. i Messrs D *lgety & Go., Ltd., report on their Palmerston sale of 13th inst., that o wing to the continued dry weather and shortage of water having, an extremely depressing effect on the , sheep and |cattle market, only a , small entry 'came forward. Our principal sales were good woolly lambs, 8s 4d; cull 2-tooth wethers 8s 7d ; medium quality fat ewes 10s;; empty cows 41s. Messrs Dalgetv & Company, Ltd., report having a fair yarding of sheep and a medium yarding of cattle at their Hunterville sale on the 11th inst. Sheep sold as below: —Gull lambs 4s, cull aged ewes 2s 9d, medium lambs 5s to 5s 4d, 4,5, 6 and f.f.m, ewes 9s sd; cattle: heifers 89s 6d, 2-year steers ■£2~l9s, 18-mouths steers £2 7s fid, 16months heifers 80s fid, cows and calves £2 6s, 2>£-year steers £3 14s.
