Hintz, the supervisor, reported : “Acting under instructions from the Chief Inspector, I am taking over the organising and arranging of technical classes in the southern portion of the Board’s district, and shall place my services at your disposal, pending the appointmet of a permanent director for your classes. My instructions from the Board are to devote my time principally to organisation and the equipment of your buildings.” < Mr Hintz gave particulars of his arrangements in regard to the fitting up of the new Building.. He hoped to have a prospectus of classes ready by next week. Braik, stating that a first-class accountant and commercial instructor would teach at Feilding one night per week, that a director for the' school was being adver tised for, that a commercial instructor was needed for Feilding and stating that Mr Hiutz had been appointed temporary supervisor of the Feilding school. Applications were received from persons desirous of appointments as teachers of drawing and painting, shorthand and type-writing, etc., which were directed to be forwarded to the Board. It was stated that the accountant and commercial instructor would be paid £3OO a year out of which he would have to pay his own travelling expenses. It was suggested that £SO of this sum could be raised at Feilding. The committee guaranteed to provide that sum. A committee was appointed to have the lobby, manager’s room and corridor covered with linoleum. The director was directed to visit the several centres and arrange for the commencement of classes.
