The State Premier states that his attention has been drawn to the fact that a number of Bulgarians have been lauded here ; also that they are stranded and unable to get employment. It seems that the' men are' of European extraction, mostly Bulgarians, being induced by some’ person or persons to emigrate to New Zealand. As far as can be ascertained they had been shipped by German or French lines of steamers, but’as they were unable to pass the test the shipping companies refused to. carry them| on to the Dominion; They have left here, but more are expected within the next few mouths. Mr Wade has placed the facts before Mr Deakin
