MARCHING ON LONDON. Press Association.—Copyright. Received February 7, 10.30 p.m. London, February 7. Renresentatives—including 35,000 of the Manchester and Salford unemployed —are marching from London to Windsor, carrying a redfflag, to present a petition to the King, asking leave to inspect the castle lands, and if suitable for cultivation, to ask to be allowed 50 acres as fan experiment to try to make homes. They promise not to enter the Castle gates without permission. Received February 8, 9.33 a.m. London, February 7. Fifty unemployed left Manchester on the march to Loudon, the number gradually dwindling. Others before became dissatisfied with the arrangements and a Salvationist paid their return fares. Only 18 reached London.. They are now marching to Windsor after forwarding their petition.
