ELOPING LOVERS ARRESTED.
PARTED AFTER FLIGHT FROM LONDON. New York, December 15. When the Lucania arrived here, Pinkerton detectives and immigration officials arrested Mr John Henry Parrott, a civil engineer, giving as his address 15 Savoy Mansions, Loudon, and removed him to the Tombs Prison. They kept prisoner in her cabin Miss Grace Lawrence, daughter of Mrs S. ,M. Lawrence, of 90 Brompton mad. The pair had eloped. They intended to go through a civil marriage to-morrow. The girl is reported to be a ward in chancery. It appears they met at Margate, and that Mr Parrott afterwards visited the girl at the house of her mother, who urged them to wait two years before marrying. Mr Parrott says that he will marry Miss Lawrence to-morrow, and that all their troubles will be over before the end of the week. The girl has agreed to remain in her cabin on the Lucania in the care of the stewardess, and will sail for home next Satuiday.
