The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court commenced to-day in Wellington. Mr Justice Chapman congratulated the Grand Jury on the fact that the cases they would have to consider represented, comparatively speaking, a satisfactory state of affairs in this distircf. The crimes alleged were neither numerous nor exceptionally serious.
