ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A man named Thomas Corbett fell over a cliff at Waikari 150 feet deep, and was killed instantly. It is supposed the missed the track in the dark. Auckland, Last Night. News has been brought to Waiuku by a native that Capt. Ragg, of the steamer. Freetrader, was drowned at Point Waikato last night. It is believed that he slipped and fell overboard. Ashburton, January 20. Edward Martin, an employee on the Laghmor estate, sustained rather painful and serious injuries last Thursday through being gored by a cow. He was struck imthe abdomen by the horns of the beast and was removed in a very serious condition to the hospital, where he has suffered intensely, but is now making satisfactory progress. Auckland, January 20. The Inspector of Police received a telegram this morning stating that Alfred Neahi, sawmill hand, who was one of a picnic party which crossed the Waikato bar yesterday, was lost overboard on the bar when ret- ,n----ing.
