Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Marton Borough Council held on the 16th day of December, 1907, 'it was resolved (by way of Special Order) that the Marton Borough Council make By-laws under “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and the amendments thereof, the object and purport of which By-laws are as follows : (1.) To provide that the external side walls of all buildings to be erected after the coming into force of such By-law? in the Borough of Marton within an area defined and specified in such By-laws being in the Borough of Marton, and situate on both 4 sides of defined portions of Broadway Street, Wellington Road, and High Street, and on both sides of the whole of Lower High Street, shall be constructed in either brick, stone, or ferro-concrete and of the thickness specified in such By-laws. (2.) For the appointment of an “ Inspector of Buildings ” for the Borough of Marton and for the submitting to the Council of the said Borough for its approval, the plans and specifications of all buildings to be hereafter erected in the said Borough and prohibiting the erection of any building, the plans and specifications of which shall not have been so submitted. (3.) To provide for the payment of fees under such by-laws and to impose penalties for any breach of such By-laws. The said resolution will be submitted for confirmation to a special meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chambers, High Street,, Marton, on Tuesday, the 14th day of January, 1908, at 8 o’clock p.m. A copy of the proposed Special Order and By-laws is deposited at the office of the Marton Borough Council, High Street, Marton, where the same wdll lie open for inspection during office hours, from the 17th December, 1907, until the 23rd January, 1908.
