CHRISTMAS EVE.

O, Christmas Bells! that haunt the listening ear

From that clear laud beyond the

monstrous sea; How ye do speak of all that was most dear,

And of the Heavenly Vision yet to

be! And all abroad the hearts vibrate and swell

With tidings of the joy ineffable, How He, the Ojiild, is bora to us to-day, The Living Life that passeth not away! Him at the Altar may we now adore, And in our hopes and lives for evermore! A.Y.T.
