On 21st, 28rd and 24fch December Extiy» Mail Trains, with dining car attached, will leave Hawera 10 a.m., Marton 2.40 p.m., arrive Wellington (W. &M. C 0.,) 8.10 p.m. Leave Wellington.(W. &.M. C 0.,) 8.20 a.m , Marion 2.8 p.m.* arrive Wanganui 4 p.m. and Hawera 6.33 p.m. On these dates the ordinary mail train to Wellington will not take passengers from stations Hawera to Feilding inclusive, except for Main Trunk Line station, and, on 23rd December only, passengers to catch Southern Steamer at Wellington. The ordinary Up Mail Train to New Plymouth will not take passengers except for stationi north of Hawera. From 16th to 20th December inclusive, and 26th December to 4th January inclusive (except -Sunday, 29th December), Extra Mail Trains with dining car attached, will leave Wanganui 12.45 p.m., Marton 2.40 p.m., 'arrive Wellington (W. & M. C 0.,) 8.10 p.m. Leave Wellington (W. & M, C 0.,) 8.20 a.m., Marton 2.8 p.m., arrive Wanganui 3.55 p.m. On these dates the ordinary Down Mail Tram will not take any passengers from Wanganui to Peilding and intermediate stations, except for Main Trunk Line stations, and, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only, passengers to i.atch Southern Steamer at Wellington. The ordinary Up Mail Train will only take passengers foe Waitotara and stations North thereof. On 24th December, an Extra Train will leave Palmerston 11.18 a.m., Marton 12.35 p.m., arrive Wanganui 2 12 p in., making same stoppages as usual Mail Train. Passengers who cannot travel by Ordinary Mai! Trains must, travel by the Extra Mail Trains above mentioned, except that on 24th December the Extra Mail Trains to Hawera will not take passengers from Palmerston, Fordell and intermediate stations for stations up "to Wanganui inclusive. The 11.18 a.m. train from Palmerston must be used by such passengers, on 24th December, except that passengers to and from Main Trunk Line stations may use the Extra Mail Trains on this date. Tho Extra Mail Trains will step on the WMlington and Manawatu Go’s, Lme at Shannon, Levin, Otaki, Waikaaae, Paekakariki, Plimmertou, Porirua, Johnsonville and Kbaudaliah. On these days the ordinary down mall train will stop on Company’s Lino only at Otaki, Paekakatiki and Johnsonville. On the 21th & 31st December (Christmas and New Year Eves) trains will leave Wanganui 11.80 p.m., Marton 1.40 a.m, (251 h) arriving Wellington (W. & M. Go ,) 8.45a.m, leave Wellington (W. & M. G 0.,) 11.16 p.m., Marton 5.30 a.m. (25th), arrive Wanganui 7.50 a ro. On 24th December Special Train will leave Taihape 10.60 p.m. for Marton, returning from Marton 6 a.m. on 25fch for Taihape, connecting at Martoh with Christmas Eve Trains from Wanganui and Wellington. On 25th December the 9.37 a.m. Wanganui to Palmerston 12.40 p.m. Palmerston to Wanganui 6 a.m., Taihape to Marton 2.45 p.m. Mataroa to Marton 9.85 a.m., Marton to Mataroa and 7-IQ p.m. Marton to Taihape trains wiil not run, Fiom 16th December to 4th January inclusive, parcels and booked goods will not be carried by mail trains. On 21st December (Palmerston Races) Special Train, stopping where required, will leave Palmerston 6 20 p.m. for Wanganui and Taihape.
