NUMEROUS CASUALTIES Press Association —Copyright. Received Dec. 10, 8.23 a.m. Loudon, December 15. Owing to gales in Britain and in the Channel, Lloyds reports 30 minor wrecks. Floods continue in the Western counties and the Thames Valley. Thomas Lawson, a 500 ton petroloum boat, capsized while riding at anchor at tho Scilly Isles. Sixteen men wore drowned and three saved. A heavy sea swamped a steam cutter belonging to the torpedo gunboat Speedwoll at Sheerness pier and drowned eight bluejackets who were starting on Christmas leave.
