Received Dec. 12, 9.22 p.m. Sydney, Last Night. The match was resumed this morning, when the New South Wales’ last batsmen essayed to secure an additional 21 runs for a win. Three brills only, however, sufficed to bring the game, so notable for big scoring, to a close. Now South Wales did not add to their overnight score of 572, and South Australia thus won by 20 runs. THE FIJIAN MATCH. Sydney, Last Night. The metropolitan cloven continued their first innings against the Fijian visitors to-day. With 9 wickets flown for 411, the last men in carried the total to 440 before being separated. The Fijians in their first effort with the bat were all dismissed for 132. Received Dec. 13, 10.17 a.m. Sydney, December 13. The weather is fine for the cricket match.
A match will ho played on tiro Martou Park between teams of the Peitdiug and Marlon Clubs tomorrow afternoon, commencing at 1.30 o’clock. The Martou team will bo Messrs Arkrwight, Bush, Hawke, Hedges, Kerr, Marshall, Ross. R. O. Fullcrtou-Sinitli, A. Signal, B. G. Signal and Wilde.
