ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Per Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. At an inquest held to-day on the body of William McFarlauo, plumber, found in the harbour yesterday, the evidence given showed that the deceased had been drinking to excess of late. Medical testimony was to the effect that death was not duo to drowning, the opinion being expressed that it was caused by exhaustion and exposure. Deceased had entered the water before death. The jury returned a verdict to the effect that the deceased died from exposure and exhaustion while in a weak state of health.
