THE BOOKMAKERS., AUCKLAND CLUB'S DECISION. Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At a meeting of tho committee of the Auckland Raciug Club tho chief business discussed was the question of bookmakers, and it was decided to charge a licence fee of £2O pvr bookmaker and £'"> for his clerk", tiio bookmaker to carry on his calling only outside the lawn fence near tho. rails. Tho regulations under which licences are to be issued include tho following:— 1. No bookmaker or his clerk shall bo allowed on the lawn or grandstand. , :

The Canterbury Jockey Club propose to levy the following bookmakers' fees for-the.-Riocarton grantir stand enclosure;'—Summer'' Meeting £lO daily, Autumn Meeting £2O, Grand National Meeting £:2O, and Spring Meeting £3O.
