SUPREME COURT.
Per Press Association. Invercargill, December 10. Tho Supremo Court sittings opened before Mr Justice Williams, who congratulated tho jury ou the re markable absence of crime iu the district. There wore ouly three oases and none of a serious character. Charles Froggatt, a youth, was charged with having improper relations with a girl under sixteen, who was a consenting party. A verdict of not guilty was returned. The Grand Jury returned no bill in the case iu which Alexander Furrier was charged with manslaughter. Tho facts were that a horse took fright at Furriers’ traction engine, and hacked over an embankment, killing a you:woman.
