WOOL SALES. • Press Association —Copyright. Received December 9. 7.12 a.m. Loudon, December 8. Wool had a moderate sale yesterday. Only the inferior crosses offered were sold, slightly in buyers' favour. Merinos were unchanged. The sales included Pareora clip, which sold at To date 170,206 bales have been offered and 81,133 sold. Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd., Wellington, report that they offered 500 bales, the greatest part of which was a very good seleotion of medium crossbred, showing eood condition and a fair length of staple. Bidding was fairly animated for all good wools, which, however, showed a fall of about }6d per lb, while all shabby and faulty wools showed a decline of %& to Id on November sale rates. Growers were loth to accept the prices offered, and we did not sell a very big proportion of our offering under the hammer, though ■we expect to quit a good number of our passed-in lots The range of •prices offered for our wool was: — Southdown 10%d, „good^_brigh J L^^a^^^^M &Co , Ltd., report i good yarding of sheep and Jiunv- entry of cattle at their t - j- §,"> atant. Atkinson & Co., Ltd., report:—On Wednesday we held a successful clearing sale at Mr F. J. Saxby's farm at Makino. Wo had a good attendance of buyers, and cows sold well, averaging £5.
