Iu the Assembly, iu reply to a statement; that the bank had decided to close down ou the iron works and to appeal to Government to devise means to keep the works going, Mr Wade stated that he had uo official information and could not say what farther steps would lie taken, but Government was prepared to make efforts to prevent the dislocation of the industry.
