LORD KIN,SALE is a bright bay horse with plenty of bone and hair of the best quality, together with a good temper and grand action. He was bred by Mr Ruddock, of Canterbury. His sire Lord Roberts* sire Lord Lion, winner of twelve firsts and twelve champion prizes. His grand sire, Lord Salisbury (1205), imported, winner of first prize at Ayr, 1876, as a two-year-old, first prize at Kilmarnock, 1877, and champion mecUl for best borsc in the yard. In the same year he won first prize at Dairy, first at Ayr, first at Glasgow, and first at the Highland Society’s Show at Edinburgh. After coming to New Zealand, Lord Salisbury won a large number of prizes. Ho was first at Dunedin inlßß’, first and champion at Taicri in 1883, first and champion at Dunedin and Taeiriin 1884, and first and champion at Dunedin in 1885 and 18S6. Lord Lion’s dam, Myrtle, by Prince of Wales (imported), grand dam Molly McKissock, was imported bv the late Mr McAllum, her sire Lord Lion (4890 C. 5.8.)
