In the case against Gooid, extenuating circumstances were found. Ho was sentenced to hard labor for life. His wife was sentenced to death. Reccivcd'Doc. 0, 7-45 a.m. Monte Carlo, December 5. ■ Gooid was. perfectly impassive on hearing his condemnation to penal servitude, but his wife wont into violent hysterics, protested her innocence, anil collapsed. The general impression is that her sentence will be commuted.
