TALLOW SALES. - London. December 4. At tho tallow sales 930 casks were offered and all sold. Mutton : Fine, 30s 3d; medium, 335. Beef: Fine, S4s; medium, 325. GISBORNE WOOL SALES. NO WOOL SOLD. Gisborne. December 5. The local wool sales to-day were very disappointing. '. sellers and buyers' ideas of value being far apart. Not a*bnle was sold, growers preferring to export to London. The highest price offered for fleece crossbred was sovenpeuco. FROZEN MEAT. Press Association. Napier, Deemeber 5. Tho CO. & D. Co., London, cable the following report on the frozen meat market:—To-day's quotations: Canterbury mutton 3?« d, Napier, Wellington, and North Island 3%d. Messrs Dalgety & Company, Ltd.. report a good yarding of both sheep and cattle at their Marton sale held on the 3rd iust. A good demand existed for all classes of stock, •which sold as follows:—Woolly Jioggets mixed sexes 19s, shorn 2tooth wethers, small, 12s lOd ; shorn 2-tooth ewes, medium, 15s lid, -2% to 3-year steers £4 2s. 2-year steers JE3 3s 6d, £3 os and £3 17s; yearling steers £2 9s 6d, 3-vear empty heifers £2 19s, 2-year empty heifers £2 2s, 15-months to 20-mouths empty heifers 36s to 80s, empty cows £2 Bs, old bulls £2 15s. Messrs Abraham k TVilliains, Ltd., report from their Jolmsoavillo sale as folfoWS:_A full entry of bullocks of fine quality were sold at prices equal to 21s per lOOlbs. Best bullocks fetched .£9 2s 6d, £S 17s Gd to .£9 and £S to .£8 15s; lighter steers, JE7 7s Gd to ,£7 17s Gd. A fair yarding oE sheep, mostly prime quality, sold freely ; wethers, 17s lOd to 18s 2d; ewes, 15s 5d to 15s Gd; woolly wethers, 24s 9d.
