LORD KINSALB is a bright bay horse with plenty of bone and hair of the best quality, together with a good temper and grand action. He was bred by Mr Ruddock, of Canterbury, His sire Lord Roberta' sire Lord Lion, winner of twelve firsts and twelve champion prizes. His grand sire, Lord Salisbury (1205), imported, winner of first prize at Ayr, 1876, as a two-year-old, first prize at Kilmarnock, 1877, and champion med il for best horse in the yard. In the same year he won first prize at Dairy, first at Ayr, first at Glasgow, and first at the Highland Society's Show at Edinburgh. After coming to New Zealand, Lord Salisbury won a large number of prizes. He was first at Dunedin in 188', first and champion at Taieri in 1883, first and champion at Dunedin and Taeiriin 1884, and first and champion at Duuedin in 1885 and IBBfi. Lord Lion's dam, Myrtle, by Prince of Wales (imported), grand dam Molly McKissock, was imported by the lato Mr McAUum, her sire Lord Lion (4S9G C. 5.8.) Molly McKissock took first nd Dumfries in 1897. „„„» ts'dam, Queen by Time of Day, by Vanquisher, imported from Scotland by the late Mr D.
