Ftpm Our Own Correspondent On Sunday ftftornoou the remains of the late Mf James Duncan were interred in tho Ridge lload Cemetery. Tlio funeral procession, which Was t!ie largest ever seen in the district was preceded by about 60 members of the Oddfollows' Lodge. At tho graveside Rev. J. McKenzio and Brother E. Nix performed the bnrial rites. Numerous wreaths and floral tributes were placed ou the coffin. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved family. Deceased had but recently attained his majority. Our little township at present has a very brisk appearance. The footpaths are being formed, the new hall is neariug completion, and the Presbyterian manso will bo ready for a tenant within a fo-tuight. Tho crop of oats on the Domain is looking well and should be a source of remuneration to the Board. It is anticipated that tho ground will bo available for public purposes in six months' tiuio. Both Apiti and Kaheko schools are undergoing the trying ordeal of rehearsing for their coming prize fund concerts. An exceptionally good programme is promised.'
