The entries for the Wauganui Guineas, to bo run at the Spring Meeting, 1908, of the Waugauui Jockey Olub, closed on Friday last. It is gratifying to note that tho enterprise of "the club in restoring Mus classic event to its programme lias been rewarded by a satisfactory response from owners, there being 4!) nominations, as against 44 for the 1007 Guineas, notwithstanding that two-year-okls only were eligible this "time, whereas tho nominations for the 1907 Guineas, called for in April, 190 G, woro for yearlings.
