The monthly meeting of the Wei- | lington District Laud Boar i, held on Tiuirsdav, was attended by Mr J. Strauchon, (Commissioner), Reese, 'Dawson, A'Oourt, and Canton. It was decided to hold next meeting on December 19th. Mr Fell attended re the [dispute in regard to applications for land in Kaiteke block. He was told that the matter had been put in the hands ofthe District Surveyor for settlement, and that no action could be taken at pres.nt. The followiug titles were approved —Sections 22 and 23, block ltf, Maungakaretu, H. Connolly; section 23, j block 3, Hautapu, P. Gallagher;'; section 7, block 9, Ohinewairua, J. i Cooper. . . ~. ! It was decided to offer section 7, block 1, Ohakune, for lease for four- \ teen years, at .-SI 3 per annum, and! on usual conditions. i Tho price of section 80, block (>, , Apiti was fixed at £4 per acre: It . was decided to recommend that it be j offered for disposal in usual way. _ j The rental on section 11, block 3, j Tiriraukawa, was fixed at £2 3s per j annum. j Pohaugiua County Council asked ! for a lease , or use of sections 81 and : 84 block 11, Apiti Township, and of : sections, 15 and 10, block 9, "Po- : hangiua Township. It was resolved to ask the ranger to value the sections for a seven-years' lease. The Council also asked that tho sections bo vested in it. It was decided that this request could not ho complied with. , „ , W H. Dallison applied for a fresh lease of sections 2Caud27, Pohaugma Township, in consideration of improvements effected by him. It was resolved to advise him that instructions had already beau issued for public sale of the sections. With reference to applications to convert tho following small grazing runs to Li.p., it was resolved to advise applicants that there was now ' no power to d so, such conversions being forbidden by tho Land Laws Amendment Act, 1907:—Sections 5 and (5, block 11, and section 2, blocK • (! Kaitieke, W. Pickup; section section 38, block 10, Kaitieke, K. Crocker; section 30a, block 10, Maungakaretu, J. McKeuzie. The terms of .sub-lease of sections 3 4, otc, block 18, etc, Moawliango, etc., from E. W. Spoouei to W. T. Irvine and Mrs P. M. M. Tansev, were approved. A request of Raetihi Co-operative Dairv Company for five acres of sceuorv reserve, 24b, block 8, Makotuku, "for a creamery site, was refused.
