Whereas the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under " The Public Works Act, 1905," for a certain work, to wit, for the purpose of a public drain in Sections 879, 881, Block 111., Sandy Survey District: And whereas the Manawatu County Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by ''The Public Works Act, 1905 " : Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pnrsuanco of the powers and authorities in me vested by " The Public Works Act, 1905," and of all other power and authority in any wise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of a public drain.
